“Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭41:10‬ ‭

‘I’m all alone.’

Not so, my Beautiful One. I Am here.

‘But I feel so inadequate. So vulnerable.’

I Am your strength and your shield, my daughter. All is well.

‘I can’t do it!’

No, you can’t. But I can through you. Lean on Me. Trust Me. I promise to work in you and through you and for you, to produce results you never even dreamed possible.

‘But I make so many foolish mistakes! My humanness irritates and confounds me constantly.’

deep belly laugh

I know it does. It has never bothered Me!! Those too are redeemed and sewn into your story, My Love. I Am enough. I will always be enough. And because I see the handprints of My Son when I look at you, you will always be enough, too.

‘But – ‘

You can’t see it, because it is too brilliant and magnificent for your human eyes and brain to comprehend. But I’m lifting my right arm right now. It stretches through the cosmos, around time and space and through the galaxies. This is the same arm that designed the rain forests, parted the Red Sea, set the ark on dry ground. This is the same arm that hangs rainbows, harvests rain drops, commands the planets to spin. This is the same arm that raised my Son from the dead – do you really think today is too big for me to handle on your behalf?

‘You really will go with me?’

Always.

‘You really – ‘

in a whisper

Always…

Sister, you have never placed a foot in a single spot on this earth alone.

You are never alone. You are never abandoned, forsaken, ignored.

Today you are SEEN.

UNDERSTOOD.

LOVED.

HELD.

How would your life look if you really believed this was true??

Step out in faith with me today??

Father, how good it is to remember that You are with me, fighting for me, choosing me, seeing me, loving me, and holding me up today. Bless my sisters as we all step out in faith this day! Amen.

I am actually a bit of a mess. But in the mess, I’m finding security in knowing I am chosen, I am forgiven, and I matter. After uncovering a history of abuse in my past, I have done a lot of healing - and writing is one way I can invite you deeper into your own healing journey! I write devotionals about the complicated thing called life at growing-in-grace.ca, and my poetry is stashed at melodylowes.com. Pull up a chair and a coffee or tea and lets grow together!
