“Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony.”
Colossians 3:14

Wrapping paper.
What a marketer’s dream!
Think about it. It’s a big deal, keeping all those presents a surprise, making them look attractive. Imagine all the paper and tape you’ve used over a lifetime of wrapping Christmas gifts.
Sheesh kapeesh.
And once the frenzy of opening packages begins, all that paper just piles up and creates a make-work project for all the tired mamas of the world.
So here’s an idea that won’t be wasteful, won’t add to your Christmas recycling pile, and will make you look beautiful for the holidays in the bargain.
You, friend, need some wrapping paper.
Not the kind that comes on a tube or needs a big bow, either.
Above all, clothes yourselves with love…
Above all.
As in, take note. This is important. This is not a side note, but the brilliant marquee sign advertising the main event: we need to add love to our lives, and not just at Christmas.
Think of it as a festive wrapping paper.
What would our world look like if nothing was done without being wrapped in love?
Politics. Business. Education. Health care. Finance. Community life. All wrapped in love, with only thoughts and intentions that would benefit others, be thoughtful and mindful of others, take all needs into consideration, – and tied together with a great big bow of kindness.
Imagine.
Now, that – real love – that’s a wrap.
Take steps to wrap your actions in love with me?
Father, You proved that first Christmas that it’s all about love. It’s always been about love. Teach us how to wrap ourselves firmly in the love You sent in Jesus, and how to share that love with a hurting and messed up world. Amen.
Mel you are the very heart of Christmas .Everyday your message sends me on a new way of seeing the world. We need to clone you girl because we need more of you. I truly do not know how I would start each day without you.Especially this year when we are all searching for answers and trying to make sense of this crazy time we’re in. Blessings friend.
